The BEST place ever

There is this place called Monkey Joes and Caden loves it. He runs in screaming with joy, but patient because he knows he needs his little yellow wrist band and sox's. We go every week. He jumps all around, burns energy. We all win! Anyways, we go so often I thought I would let you in on a little visual of it. And for an extremely funny story scroll to bottom.

don't ask me why he goes down on his stomach backwards, its just his thing

Carrie came into town awhile ago and we decided we take her there. Well since Caden is so young, it's okay for the adults to go up on the slides as well. Carrie being the genius she is decided to go face first on her stomach. As I was doing the slow scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" she went and well, lets just say it wasn't pretty her elbow took the brunt of it, she now calls it 'the devil place' and I just laugh.

Best Salon in Town

that's right at my house. Eric my amazing husband who is multi-talented man, helped me hi-light my hair.
Then I added some other colors to it last night, now only if I can teach Eric to cut my hair we would be set!

Kitty Kat

Caden's good friend Abby he calls "Tabby" turned three! So we went to their house for a birthday party get together. Well, we had a good time with good company but Caden found a new friend "kitty-kat". He played with this kitten no joke for hours. He was enthralled as was the kitten.

And this is his face when you take a picture and say "Cheese"

Aladdin is Eric's favorite movie, coincidence...I think not

You Are Jasmine!

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.

We've joined the Club

We've joined the club, the most elite club out there.. The Mercedes Benz Club. That's right people we are now highly sophisticated people! With important things , important people and many important...uh. you get the idea. So here's our new ride. Take in the beauty of our new 1988 Gold Mercedes Benz

I feel pretty...

So, for those that have meet or seen my husband. Well he is a large man, alpha male kinda type of guy. But he is also very secure with himself. Such as probably a year ago we went on a date and got pedicures together and then dinner because I wanted him to see how great a pedicure was. He is a trooper and didn't mind going.

Fast forward to now, Eric has this problem he bites his nails constantly, and they are nubs, nothing left to them. He was talking to this guy at work about it and the guy had the same problem but his were worse and got infected, and he said he went to a nail place and got fake nails, to help him stop. So Eric comes to me Wednesday and says "Tabitha, I can't quite biting my nails, I think I want to get some fake ones to help me stop". Needless to say I was speechless. I asked a ??S such as ARE YOU SERIOUS??? and then I dropped it thinking he wasn't serious enough to do it. Well, last night he comes and goes I think I want to see about getting my nails done tonight, I of course laugh again but he's serious. So we head out. I take him to this Nail Salon I have been to and he wanted me to come in and talk for him and get him set up. Hilarious! Well, the nail techs looked a little puzzled but went with it. It's money to them. So he sat down and his eyes bulge open because they start talking Chinese and he can't understand them. Hilarious!
***Quick side note, like Styrofoam is to me, like nails on a chalk board is to most, Heebie jeebies sort of thing, well that's how nail files are to Eric.
So, they start to put tips on him, and file them. His eyes bulge. Hilarious!
After awhile Caden started to act his age so much to my dislike we needed to leave, and we left Eric to get pampered, we came back to see him and he was almost done.
In the end his is happy he did it and likes that he has nails, he scratches my back and says how does that feel, and I say "it feels like a woman is scratching my back".
I didnt think I can put hilarious enough! Hilarious, hilarious, hilarious. And now pictures for your viewing pleasure....

I told him after he got some dirt under them maybe they wont look so girlish! haha

Lucky Lady

Well, I had a rare opportunity last night that most woman don't get. I got to go on a date with TWO boys! That's right TWO!

I'm a lucky lady, both of them were very charming, flirtatious, and perfect gentlemen-well, one of them did spill applesauce all over himself at dinner but accidents happen right?!?

First the boys picked me up all dressed up and nice. Took me to a delicious dinner, and they even paid!

Afterwards we went to Hollywood Connection where our movie was playing and one of my dates had the opportunity to ride some of the attractions such as the train "choo-choo" and the swings and of course the most magical part of the evening The Carousel. Awwww!

So, with my bag stuffed with goodies, we headed in to get prime seats for our movie "WAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-E". Both of my dates we're awesome and occasionally one of them would hold my hand-they took turns.
But, honestly my heart just busted with joy last night, it was just so much fun, Caden did great! I love being able to do more things with him. Family dates are great and you don't have to pay for a babysitter!

This is a face of a boy who had the best date of his life!

So Much Love

July 2007

It's amazing how time flies, my little man, which I've always referred to Caden as, is growing up so fast. I thought I'd do a quick update on this little guy:

Age: 2.5 years old
General: He loves to run, play, drink milk, wrestle with Daddy
Music: His favorite jam's right now are ACDC "Back in Black" And most recently George Michael "Faith"
Movies: Surf's Up which he refers to as "Penguins" and Monters Inc "Monsters"
Television: American Gladiators- he gets very agressive when this on. Wipeout-The whole time he says "big balls, big balls". He doesn't really watch any other TV
Books: "You are Special" is a book about people giving out stars and dots. Its probably the sweetest and most meaningful book we have and probably the longest, but he loves it.
Favorite Saying: "Oh my GOSH!"
Heroes: Mom and Dad of course...well, and Thomas and Buzz!

I love this little man, I know I gripe about him sometimes but trust me sometimes he acts his age, and woah it can get intense. But for the most part he's a pretty enjoyable kid, who I look more towards as a little friend of mine.

Corn Hole'n Champion

WE had a blast in Iowa. WE hung out with family. Went Camping, had smore's played a boat load of Corn Hole( for those that don't know it's probably one of the best games ever). And on Saturday we had a championship game, it was intense and long and guess what Rick and I won! That's right sukers we won!
Anyways, we had a great time with the family. And we met Jon's girlfriend Shauna who was way adorable, and they are just so stinkin' cute together. Caden wouldn't do bubbles without the girl.
We went on a date-shopped, dinner and movie(hancock- it was hillarious)
Anyways, it was great, Im sure I'm forgetting many details, but it's the pictures you care about right?!?

Writing it down is therapeutic...

When I started to write it down before I lost it on my computer. AWESOME!
I've always heard the word 'grieve' when people miscarried, and that always seemed like such a heavy word for them to use. Not to discredit those loosing a child and such. But, now experiencing losing our two little babies there is no better word in the entire vocabulary better then that.

I have felt many emotions since last week, heartbroken, desperately sad, angry, and numb. I don’t know what to feel anymore. I've realized that it is done, all over with and there is no longer anything I can do. I'm try to not to think about them to much, because if I continued to, nothing would get done-shower, cleaning; important things. But truthfully it's hard. I'm so used to thinking like I'm pregnant, I go to a store and I instantly want to browse the clearance maternity and then I have to kick myself for thinking that, control my emotions and try and not break down in the store again, and pick my self back up. Then I'll see my stupid giant bottle of TUMS I bought because I always have the worst heartburn when pregnant, and I instantly want to throw it through the window-hence the word ANGER.

We are getting better and getting through it. One thing that I am entirely grateful for is the timing of this tragic event, I know this seems minute but I'm reaching for positives right now, and that is it happened when we were back in GA, had a great vacation in Iowa. I could not have imagined us finding out before; it would have made it horrible for Eric and I. And it a way as hard as it is having Eric in total control (Means they've picked up a new group of privates and work 7days a week 4am-8pm) is that I have to take care of Caden, myself and our home.

Eric was and has been so amazing through this. He is such a nurture her and a sweet heart. I know he is battling the same emotional battle I am and he just took over and took care of Caden and I. It brings me to tears thinking of how wonderful he's been and how terribly sad he is also. I appreciate those calling asking not only if I was okay but if Eric was, all though it happened physically to me, it's very much the same thing emotionally for Eric.

I think I have rambled enough, but I wanted to thank you all for keeping us in your prayers and thoughts! We will get through this, after time.

For those that know and for those that don't

Today has truly been a whirlwind. I don't have it in me to call everyone, so this is for all those out there.
Some of you may know we were pregnant-some may not, I was wanting to wait a couple more weeks to post about it.
And some may know that we were blessed with twins- so exciting, but so scary! And quite the rarity for my large family.

And now we have found that we have lost them both. To say the least our hearts our broken! WE know that this is only temporary pain and that our Heavenly Fathers loves us and will comfort us, but at the time we are just trying to deal with it.

We will be going to hospital tomorrow for a D&C and then try to move on as best as we can.

So I am sorry I have not called you all individually but it is just too much right now.

Country Road, take me home, to the place I belong..

Yup, we are heading to Iowa and we are so excited! We're going to be camping, roasting melllows, playing with the hoarse's and corn holing the heck out of it(it's probably the best game ever, if you haven't heard of it). Take care, dont miss us too much and we'll be back on the 11th!

Loathe

That is one word to describe today's topic...Nick Arrojo, some may be familiar with him some may not. He is the hairstylist on the show "What not to Wear" And he drives me crazy. To a point I'm almost obsessing because I have to watch to see how he ruins someone's hair. He's so typical he always cuts all their hair off, gives them a bob with close to no layers and a nice neutral color. I'll give it to him, I like that he gives them simple color(because most would not maintain good hi-lights and such) but I feel he always gives these woman cuts that just age them. And my biggest peeve, woman with super curly hair he always styles super straight and is like BAM! There you go...lets be real, if they have super curly hair and straightening is going to take some time. THEY'RE NOT GOING TO DO IT! So why not just cut there hair to style curly, Make sense? I know I'm rambling but I'm fired up from last nights show. I'm not saying I'm an amazing hairstylist by any means, but this guy is SO overrated, they need to find a new stylist!

Oh...I ate it all....I'm a piggy piggy...I feel sick

So, my sister Carrie had to get Surgery this past week, boo, I know, no fun. And my mom flew into DC to help take care of her i.e. make sure she takes her meds and doesn't over do it. Well, I was talking with them Friday morning, feeling so envious that they were together and in DC. LUCKY! So, my sis pops in "hey why don't you guys come for the weekend, I'll take care of the gas" Now who can say no to an offer like that. And what's a 12 hour drive, nothing to us. So, within an hour and half we were loaded up and gone. How fun! huh?!?

Well, it was a blast, Caden was horrible but we're all crediting that to lack of sleep. But, minus the little monster we had a blast!

No, we didn't do anything amazing, but we went to the farmers market and got some heavenly cookies, air force memorial, the mall, swimming.

It just felt so great to be with my family, and it felt like a vacation for the three of us, granted we lived there the last for years none the less a vacation. And it felt like we hadn't even left dc, it was so good to be back!

So, it was a short trip-we came back Monday afternoon because Eric Had to work an hour on Tuesday-lame! But, the drive was totally worth it and we had a blast with Carrie and my mom!

**To my DC friends I'm sorry we didn't come see any of you, We really would have LOVE to but we just really wanted to spend as much time as possible with the family. But don't you worry this is certainly not our last trip! Next trip we will catch you!

Hi

I know I have been slacking, but to be quite honest there is just not much to update. Our lives are pretty boring, caden and I go to the pool everyday. And most days meet up with our apartment friends Abby and Kate(Abby is Caden's new BFF, Buzz is now replaced). And Eric works a ton still. But, some good news we are going to Iowa on July 1st. YEAH! WE are super excited for that and as always looking forward to it.
Thats all.
Sorry.

Attack of the Chigger'sss

So, Eric has been in the field all week and got to come home last night for the evening. Well, to say the least he did not look good. The chiggers had gotten to him and he had at least 40 bites, so yucky! Here are the poor guys legs

And he had to go back out today til monday!

Oh No Sheriff WOODY!

We went to Wal-mart and Caden saw a cowboy hat and instantly screamed "Woody" So, I let him try it on thinking that he wouldnt wear it, ha, was I wrong. He won't take it off, and he insists his name is not Caden with the hat on but "Woody". And he runs around with his stick horse, it is so stinkin cute!

Piano Bench

For those that don't know the story of my piano I will give you the pleasure of hearing it. My mom and I are have always loved playing the piano it's our thing. So, she really wanted to buy me one, but I told her not to blow the bank we will be moving around a lot, she wanted to give me hers but by the time she shipped it there's a whole piano. So, ANYWAYS she was looking on Ebay she just got addicted to it and found a piano for ONE DOLLAR, that's right, four quarters, ten dimes, 100 pennies. And she bought it. We had to drive three hours with a trailer to pick it up in MD. Needless to say this piano rocks, a couple scraps but if you know me I like the scraps it gives it character. A good tuning and it sounds like a million bucks. So, thank you mom for the piano. And it's about dang time I fixed the bench(it never occured to me to do so. So, I finished my piano bench. And not to brag but I think it turned out pretty well. Now all I need to do is fix the two front wheels on the piano and wheel it out to the porch and put a gloss coat on it. What do you think of the bench?

Sew Much Fun

Well, I discovered a store here in Columbus and I have to say I love it, from the moment I walked in I was so inspired to sew! Crazy enough it's called "Sew much Fun" I know I sound like an old lady. But, when you were raised with a mother like mine, who is so resourceful and creative. Sewing, cooking all seems so natural in a home. So, I am a sewer. I'm not great by any means but would love to be better. I may be taking some class's in the near future. Yeah to sewing!

Caden loves ACDC
