Caden starts Pre-K

Caden has started another year of preschool. He loves Sunshine Square and so do I. He met a girl on the first day named Kaydence they have same glass's but her's were maroon, same color shirt and almost the same name. They are quite fond of eachother. Its been about a month since he started and is doing so well. His teacher Mrs. Ruth is great, she encourages him in so many ways. She mentioned to us that she thinkds Caden is a smart little boy. She said he knows what a end of the year kindy-garten(as eric says) knows. She says he's years ahead in reading and that I should try to talk to the school district to see if they will test him to skip kindy-garten. Crazy right?? He has just changed so much and growing up so fast. Him growing makes me happy but sad at the same time. We'll see what the future holds for our Caden.

Lava Hot Springs

We decided to head up to Lava Hot Springs, ID. I'll be honest the trip didnt go quite as expected and it ended rather quickly.

We hit up the big olympic pool.

Walked around town.

Had some nasty Thai

Had a baby who didnt want to sleep

Had another child get an ear infection and couldnt sleep-thank god for good people out there. Clerk at the store let me take some tylenol and pay the next day.

Tubing on river. Eric got roughed up a little.

Hot springs were too hot for children even though were told different prior to going and while up there.

Headed home in less then 24 hours with two sick kids
Could be worse. But oh well.

I swear I put sunblock on them-twice. I must have missed right under Macey's eyes.

Pre-tubing and post look about the same so you know they had a good time.

Dinner in the Mountains

Does it get any more beautiful then that?

Jenn and Chris. So cute!

Macey was so happy in the backpack

These two are the best of friends. They are so close.

Picking the biggest rock to throw

Chase throwing all the rocks in

Sunday best

I'm still learning at photography. But I never realized how hard it was to take a picture of two kids. Seriously if macey's smiling caden is too but looking to the right, its ridiculously frustrating. But they sure are adorable. This is Macey's new cheese smile. It kills me it is the cutest thing ever.

So funny.

Seriously this is as good as it gets.

See this deep concentration, its love. They love eachother.

Such a stud.

Went crazy with the photoshop but its cute.

Such a big girl standing, cruising along.

This is Macey trying to do Peek-a-Boo.

Fishing

We took the family out on the boat and decided to do a little fishing. Caden saw the pole bend and wanted to reel in a fish. So he reeled and reeled and then....

Jackpot! At the same time Caden was grabbing his fish, Eric was reeling in his own fish. Caden, Eric, Jason, and Chase caught a bunch of fish that day and will have fish stories to tell for awhile.

Shortly after this picture was taken. The fish seemed to gather the last of its energy and freed itself from the oppressive grasp of Jason. It flung itself towards the water, but unfortunately it missed. Instead of landing in the the water it landed on Macey's head and then her life jacket. Oozing blood as it hurtled to the floor, it got blood in Macey's hair and all over her life jacket. As the fish hit the floor and went into its death seizure, Melanie decided to scream like Jaws was eating half the boat and Jason just got his legs bit off. It was classic.

4th of July

Macey's face shows her concern for being out in the heat.
It was a fun parade and we got to see the pride of West Jordan all around us.

Macey sucking down some water to beat the heat.
Caden and Macey waiting for the parade to start and the candy to be thrown.

Caden wearing a shirt that I made the night before. He loved it.

Macey chilling in the shade so her precious skin didn't get burned.

There are no photos for the evening, because my battery died. We went to see fireworks and kept Caden up late. The fireworks didn't start on time so we left and they started 10 minutes after we got home so Caden didn't get to see any.

Tee-ball

Caden swinging for the fences. Everytime he was up to bat he said he was going to hit a homerun.

The end of another successful sports season.

Caden posing in the field. Long at-bats resulted in alot of posing and wrestling in the field.

As you can see, Caden had his game face on while waiting to bat. This is one of the rare times he wasn't filling his glove with grass and throwing it.

A hot, but rewarding day. Nothing like finishing a season and getting a sweet trophy.
