Fishing

We took the family out on the boat and decided to do a little fishing. Caden saw the pole bend and wanted to reel in a fish. So he reeled and reeled and then....

Jackpot! At the same time Caden was grabbing his fish, Eric was reeling in his own fish. Caden, Eric, Jason, and Chase caught a bunch of fish that day and will have fish stories to tell for awhile.

Shortly after this picture was taken. The fish seemed to gather the last of its energy and freed itself from the oppressive grasp of Jason. It flung itself towards the water, but unfortunately it missed. Instead of landing in the the water it landed on Macey's head and then her life jacket. Oozing blood as it hurtled to the floor, it got blood in Macey's hair and all over her life jacket. As the fish hit the floor and went into its death seizure, Melanie decided to scream like Jaws was eating half the boat and Jason just got his legs bit off. It was classic.

4th of July

Macey's face shows her concern for being out in the heat.
It was a fun parade and we got to see the pride of West Jordan all around us.

Macey sucking down some water to beat the heat.
Caden and Macey waiting for the parade to start and the candy to be thrown.

Caden wearing a shirt that I made the night before. He loved it.

Macey chilling in the shade so her precious skin didn't get burned.

There are no photos for the evening, because my battery died. We went to see fireworks and kept Caden up late. The fireworks didn't start on time so we left and they started 10 minutes after we got home so Caden didn't get to see any.

Tee-ball

Caden swinging for the fences. Everytime he was up to bat he said he was going to hit a homerun.

The end of another successful sports season.

Caden posing in the field. Long at-bats resulted in alot of posing and wrestling in the field.

As you can see, Caden had his game face on while waiting to bat. This is one of the rare times he wasn't filling his glove with grass and throwing it.

A hot, but rewarding day. Nothing like finishing a season and getting a sweet trophy.

Caden playing in the water

Caden is loving playing in the backyard in the water. There is a hole in the hose and he decided to partake.

He is having a blast, such a sweet face.

Macey pulling up

Macey is quite the little ham, here are her little front teeth.

She pulled herself up in her crib for the first time, so exciting

Can you see the joy in her face?

I love this butterball so much

Iowa

We went to Iowa awhile back and I have been slacking big time. Iowa was fun but the weather did not care that we were there. I think it rained 9 out of the 10 days we were there. We had a great time here is a ton of pics probably out of order.
