Big Brother and Little Sister

Caden has been so sweet. He is concerned about Macey and her well being and he is so soft with her. Love it!

Here are the two:

She's...not here

Well, folks as normal I am pass my due date.

Okay, seriously she needs to come out, went to doc and I'm 4cm and 50% effaced. She "stirred up some labor"=stripping membranes=pain. So let's hope that does something, anything.

Sorry if TMI but people there is almost nothing when it comes to babies, labor, pregnancy that is TMI to me anymore, ask Eric. Poor guy knows so much about it.

So here I give the last and most glorious belly shot. Take it in.

Hopefully next time I post it will be a picture of our little girl. Fingers crossed.

What can I say but I love this guy. And this age is the best!! He is so fun and says the craziest things and repeats everything. So you have to be extra careful around him ALL time.

He is doing great at school and just loves it. It's a little sacrifice but financially but to be honest worth every penny, he has the best time and loves to learn.

He is going to be a great brother I was always worried about the age gap being that we wanted our children closer in age but to be honest I think its a good gap(that's me saying it without her even being here). He just seems so aware and understanding of the situation and anxious might I add. The other day he says "Mom, I'm want to see my sister I'm going to get her out of your belly" so he lifts up my shirt and goes after my belly button(I told him thats where she comes out) and hes trying and poking. Then says "Mom, I can't get her out, help me". So I tell him to ask his dad for help. So he goes and pleads with Eric to get her out and Eric said "Buddy, I'd get her out if I could, we just need to wait"

So that is what were are doing. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I'm 3cm and 50% effaced which is great. With Caden 2 weeks over I wasn't even a 1cm. So progress!!

I'm praying shes comes before the end of next week. I told Eric if she's not here by next Friday there will be some choice words and I might freak out a little.

So pray for my husband...and obviously me and the un-named baby girl.

Back to School

obligatory back to school pictures

Caden loves school and was very excited to start up again. He goes tuesday, wednesday and thursday mornings from 9-12:30. It's a great school that he loves and I think whenever this little girl decides to make her arrival it will be a nice time for the two of us to sleep.

He's so handsome isn't he?

Little Girl Things

Two good friends got together and threw me the most wonderful Baby Shower this last weekend and it was such a great time. So many good friends, delicious food and great conversation.

Delicious food and great decorations

Wonderful Friends

All the beautiful presents

I received SO many beautiful, thoughtful presents. I can't post pictures of all of them but trust as I post pictures of this little girl she'll be sporting all these cute outfits and blankets that were given to us.

Don't mind the poor picture but this was so special to me because they didn't know that I collected pigs as a little girl and this was given unbeknown st to them my love for glass pigs. So cute!!

Smocking is a huge thing done down here in the South, this is a smocked dress that a woman in my ward made for our little girl and I just think its the sweetest thing. I asked if we could bless her in it and I think Mary was happy with that. And I happy that I found something that will have special meaning for our little girl born in the South. Isn't it too precious?

Is this blanket just not the cutest?? My sweet sister Jennifer sewed this entire things together and then hand sewed it. I love the fabric!! She spent so much time and I feel so lucky to receive it.

In my family its a long standing tradition of towels being sewn for each child, usually 2 a piece. My grandmother sewed all my siblings and myself towels that we all still have to this day. My mother sewed these two towels for our little girl. I can't wait to wrap our sweet little thing in them.

This is what I've come up with...

So we have been asked several times what we will be naming our little girl. And I hate making the decision we had a terrible time deciding with Caden. So, we've narrowed it down to 3 names and I'm letting Eric decide.

I know some of you probably think that's crazy but honestly I can't stand to think about it, second guess myself any longer. So I'm putting it all on my husbands shoulders. Nice wife huh?

So the contenders are:

Macey
Amelia
Lucy

I love them all and would happy with any of them. If you don't like them, that is okay with us because its not your little girl. If you like them great because we do.

He can tell me tommorrow or at the hospital. I told him whenver he feels certain to tell me. I think this is kind of a great idea the more I think about it. A fun surprise too.

Any guess's as to what he will choose??

We went an checked out the Infantry Musuem on Ft. Benning it was very, very impressive!! Caden had a blast as did we.

So real right??

Can you believe this picture?? Both of them looking at me AND Eric's eyes are open.

Nesty, nesty my nesty

Time is painfully slow right now and I'm not sure what to do with myself or Caden. So we are trying to stay busy by getting together with friends, pool, park, lunch and crafting!!

Here is the latest idea I found on the fabulous Internet. I love the craft blogs and they have so many ideas I can copy.

So, here is the bow holder I made. Just painted a gold frame, put fabric on the back and hot glued ribbons. I might move the ribbons vertical but we'll see we have nothing but time, right??

Or I just might hang it Horizontal??

The frame was $5 at Hobby Lobby. SCORE!!

And I thought why not try and make some bows, they are not fancy or very big but that's what I like. There are so many great tutorials out there teaching you how, so why not??

I could keep going because they are so easy but I don't have any other color ribbon right now and I want to try to make some other kinds of bows.

Drop it like its hott...

Caden like most kids loves music. He picks up lyrics really quickly too. His favorite songs to dance to right now are:

"All These Things I have done"(I got soul but I'm not a soldier)-The Killers.
he calls it the 'soldier song'

"Dont Trust Me"(Shush girl, shush your lips)- 30H!3
he knows the words very well to this song, a little embarrassing but hilarious at the same time, why does he pick up this song so easily??

"My Humps" (Spending all my money)- Black Eyed Peas

Here are some videos of him shaking his thing. It's quite entertaining to us but to friends it might bore you. But family you will love.
