help me... I need ideas

This is our awesome bassinet that I scored for $10 at the consignment sale, and it vibrates. Fun, huh?

Here is the crib set I bought.Super cute but I don't know what to do for the rest of the room if I could find a picture of the nursery from Pottery Barn all done. So, i need input, thoughts on:

Curtains
sheets
Wall Decor
And anything else

The pink checkered/gingham is the bed skirt.

Studly Man and such

This is Caden before church I bought him a tie at the big Consignment sale. First one ever, kind of sad and he's 3. But I think he's looks adorable and surprisingly he didn't mind it.

What do you think? Does he look like Eric or me??

There is an awesome bush out front that makes these beautiful flowers, I don't know the name but I think they're gorgeous!

Macon, GA

We decided to venture out for the day and head to Macon for the Cherry Blossom festival. It was a nice drive, beautiful scenery.

Cherry Blossom Farms on the way to Macon.

There was supposed to be Lawn Mower Races, Bed Races, Sea lion Show, Snake Show, eateries etc. But to be honest, the blossoms weren't bloomed yet, a little disappointing but understandable it was the beginning of the festival and that can't tell you exactly what day. And I felt like the festival was more of just a big Carnival. So, we didn't stay very long.

But, overall nice drive, Macon was pretty cute.

We're there...

Caden is officially into super heros:
Spiderman
Batman
Superman

it's so funny he flies around the house with his arms stretched out, flying like Superman.

and then he'll come to me and say "I'm Batman and mommy your Joker"

He's figured out how to shape his fingers/hands to look like spiderman shooting out a web. So funny!

This is C doing his Spiderman pose!

Once I'm done with the Craziness of March, I'm going to make Caden a Superman and Batman Cape!

I love how his imagination is getting so active.

And to end on funny note yesterday I said "You're so goofy" and Caden replies by saying "I'm not Goofy, I'm Mickey Mouse"

We are so incredibly blessed with a healthy, growing baby GIRL!

Spread eagle, nothing there!

16weeks, let's remember it's my second. Be gentle with the judgement

So excited and so blessed!

And just because he's so cute...

Happenings..

Been pretty boring around here. Most days especially in the evening I take Duke and Caden out in the front and let them chase eachother and fight over sticks. It's very entertaining and quite relaxing. By far my most favorite time of the day!

I'm Starting this...

Snowed In...Phones are down

Well, yesterday morning there was a tornado warning and a tornado touched down in Alabama, about 20 minutes away. Sirens and all were going off.

Then later in the day it was 70 and sunny.

Then today it's SNOWING, and sticking. Total craziness.

How does Columbus react?

-Church is cancelled after sacrament.

-Everyone driving like the roads are iced up. It's 35 and snowing people and it was 70 yesterday. Think.

-At Ft Benning, yes an Army Base are reporting late to work tomorrow. Yes the snow has already started to melt, but they shouldn't go to work til 9.

-AND Schools are closed. Including Caden's preschool, I can't believe it, the snow is practically gone and they are closing schools.

So funny. But, it was nice to see a freakish change here. I've heard from the locals it happens every 5-6 years. Too bad we won't be around for the next big storm. Shucks!

Almost...15

So, I went to Doctor last week. And things are going well. Baby is healthy, even got some pics because I went to a different doc who was super lazy about finding the heartbeat.

Crazy, it actually looks like a baby not an alien. YEAH!

And on to some even greater news I'm down 7lbs. WAHOO! Don't ask me how, I should have been eating better, but if you want to know my secret. Ben and Jerry's! Most would probably be concerned, but let's be real I'm not starting off the skinniest girl alive and if the baby growing and happy and then dang it. I'm Excited!

Carrie Finally Came

Well after some confusion with flights Carrie finally came this last weekend. Caden and I voyaged to ATL to pick her up, got lost a little, hit some traffic and ended up driving around downtown ATL for some dinner.
Carrie was happily greeted(not really) by duke at home. On Saturday("her birthday")
Started it off by making a cake with Caden. Carrie's favorite White Cake with HOMEMADE Cream Cheese frosting.

Then we headed off to Lumpkin, GA to see Westville. Which in turn turned out to be closed. Boo! So they told us of the "Little Grand Canyon" or Providence National Park, which ended up being pretty cool.

We took a mini hike. Which Caden enjoyed very much. I think we'll be heading back to do it some more.

We finally and YES I mean FINALLY got some great BBQ. Delicious, Caden even partook.

Headed back to Columbus did some Furniture shopping, ended up with a sweet sectional. Got some Chinese, rented some movies. Frosted the cake, candles, presents. YEAH to Carrie!

Sunday we crashed, Eric, C and me the most we're sick all weekend. Carried didn't get the best side of us. We did hair, had our little Oscar party and Eric treated us to a delicious dinner.

It was a great weekend!

Happenings

So I thought I should update since I've been a total slacker lately.

There's not much too exciting around here. Carrie(the sis) was supposed to come and visit valentines weekend but turns out she nor I can read a flight itinerary correctly so she will be coming this weekend. YEAH! Happy belated birthday party to her.

As for our Love Day, it was okay, I'm just not a huge Valentine's day gal, it goes along with my theory for new years eve but that's a whole nother post.

So, Eric was actually home for the weekend and we slept in somewhat, aww. Did a tiny bit of shopping for spring/summer clothes for c. Chilaxed and then went bowling and to the PX. We had a good time bowling Caden was a little stubborn though, he wanted no help throwing the ball and so he would do it and it would roll as slow as humanly possible and then stop. Good times, us trying to hit our ball with his, several times. It was fun!

We concluded with rummaging for dinner and homemade chocolate covered strawberries, yum!

I'm currently 13 weeks, which is so exciting to me, but probably not to you. Baby is a peach, so exciting! I think I'm on the up-hill(or is it down-hill) of morning sickness. SO YEAH!

Caden's current obsession MADAGASCAR 2-I can recite it. He just dances the whole movie and pretends he is Alex the lion!
And sings "I like to move it, move it"

Eric's working like machine this cycle hours wise has been better, but now they just lost on of his drills so he's down to 2-boo to that!

So. that's our life..for now anyways.

We have moved..

And I know your all at home anxiously checking our blog see when the pics are up, but people be patient. I want it to look good and for some odd reason this house which we like is challenging me. But, I think I can get some pictures up, a little at a time, you can't expect the whole place to be done all at once?? Right?

This is the front of the house, its funny it looks like a log cabin but the rest of the house's on the street look normal, like with plain siding. But we like it and will pretend we live in the mountains, with close neighbors.

This is the view of the backyard, first off not our pool, so that will be gone and we hope to do something nice with backyard after talking to the owners and getting there approval, like grass:) But it's a yard that we are grateful for and love to have.

This is Caden and Dukes favorite spot on the whole yard, I guess there was a huge tree here, but fell this last year, too bad. They like the stump though.

And here's just another of Caden cheesin' it. He loves playing outside.

Caden's off...

Well, after searching around I found a preschool I really like, signed Caden up and here is our sweet little man with his rockin' Thomas backpack heading to his first day of school.

To be honest I was sad, I didnt' think I would be, but its such a big step(if you haven't been there yet, you wait and you'll see it IS a big step) and Eric kept saying "Tabitha you know he's coming back right?" so funny.
Since I am so behind(ugh, ugh pregnant, moving etc) he has been going for a couple weeks and loves it. And is doing pretty well, he's practicing transitioning, making friends and I am getting all my errands done and just over all loving my 3 1/2hrs of my time. YEAH!

Jesus wants me for a SUNBEAM

So in our church, the children go to nursery at 18 months to 3 and then they graduate into the next class, where they go and sing songs and go to sharing time with the other big kids. And the class is called "Sunbeams". They switch class's every January instead of the middle of the year like school, so each year he'll move to a different class but with the same kids.
This is Caden's first Sunday as a Sunbeam!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Well. things are changing around here. We have Duke again, turns out the people we gave him to turned out not to be the best dog owners ever. So, here he is back in our life and to be honest it's a good thing, we missed him. And our glad to have him in our home!
And now that we are moving(still in Columbus) to a house. YEAH! I'm so excited, and ready to let my dog play in his yard and my son jump up and down and not fear of the neighbors getting angry at us. So, as of the end of this month we will be in a house, with a drive way, our own trash can, a yard, walls I can paint, a home we can run around in. HEAVEN!

And as an added bonus a video of the The Duke and Caden playing. Background Duke just recently realized caden exists, so this was very exciting to us and especially Caden.

Sledding+Eric=Heart attack for me

Well, while we were in Utah we did a lot of hanging out, holiday baking, girls nights out, guys nights outs. And on Christmas Eve we decided to take part in all of the fresh snow and go sledding.

So, we went and it was frigidly cold and crazy windy, like Iowa windy but we forged ahead. This park had all kinds of hills, massive ones and smaller ones for the little ones. We all took turns on the different hills with our different sleds, it was quite cold so Caden wasn't loving it as much as the time we went down Mels driveway. Getting to Eric he decides to go to the very top of the hill(with the worst sled, doest steer, most crash-myself included) so he goes and in the middle of this hill is a ramp. He goes flying down the hill, flies in the air, and lands on his neck and head=Awesome! He has not clue of what happened, we think he had a concussion. Good times! He wanted to go back but that's not happening.

We're back

After a two week vacation in snowy Utah we are back and made it home safely. Our New Year's Eve night of travel was ridiculous on every level. If something could have gone wrong it did. But we are back in the GA safe and sound. I have so much to update on but need the pics so that will come soon.

But today I have a great story to tell you about my husband....well three mini-one's with one great big one that has the morale of the story.

Back in VA Eric was doing CQ(he has to stay on post at a desk for 24hrs) and he asked me to bring some of his movies and so I did. Well as we were leaving he put them on top ot the Jeep(good days) so he could load Caden. We said goodbye and left. Well, a minute later I hear this sliding noise on top of car. Of course I didn't know the DVDS were on top until minutes later I was driving back looking for them, he lost probably about 2 out of 6.

Fast forward to last summer he had just graduated Drill Sergeant School and we were leaving the ceremony at Ft. Jackson, SC. So he had this super important envelope of papers, he pointed that out to me. Well, once again he loaded Caden put the envelope on top of the trailblazer and we were off, minutes later looking for important packet we head back not realizing where he put it. Turns out one of the Senior Instructors of the Drill Sergeant school had found the super important envelope on the road, yikes!

And now today. We are starving, tired and in need of some food. He asked me before he left where his car keys were, I had no clue. So we were off. I was driving down the interstate when all the sudden you hear, something sliding on top of the car and then Eric see's his keys slide off our vehicle onto the highway. YES! So, I pull over and he has to walk quite a bit back to find his keys. The trailblazer key was bent and our mail key jammed up and the car remote entirely gone. YIKES!

So, moral of the story if Eric has ever lost anything look on top of the nearest car and you will find it.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! Stay tuned for great stories and awesome pics.
