It came off!

I guess in a runner's world it is a point of pride to lose a toe nail. So, here our my pics of the results of doing a marathon. Enjoy!

Halloween

So, Halloween came and Caden knew the drill take candy while the nice old lady is handing you some so he gets double. Genius! Well, caden went trick or treating he got shy quite a bit but for the most part he would say "RAAA" like a dinosaur. Eric was dressed up as Sgt. Slaughter, Me-Kitty Kat and Carrie a pirate-ARRR!

Why my husband is amazing!

Here is one of the many reason's why my husband is amazing. As we are running the marathon I asked "Er, are you sure you just don't want to run ahead and get a better time? And he said:

"Sweet pea, this race is like our life we start it together, we end it together"

Enough said.

He's going the Distance, We're not going for speed!

Well, Eric and I did it. 26.2 miles! There were some ups and there were some downs. But we survived running hand in hand through the finish line! A couple blisters on boht our feet and I(tabitha) am losing a toe-nail, apparently it's common for runners but very disghusting. We are hobbling around town but hope to be back to new in a couple of days and continue running.

Trunk or Treat!

Well, there is a thing called Trunk or Treat and everyone parks there car and decorates the trunk and the kids go trick or treating to each car. So, we all got dressed up, Eric as Drill Sergeant Slaughter, Me as Kitty Kat and Caden as a Dinosaur! It was a good time Caden caught on quick to grab the candy and put it in his pumpkin!

Working at the Car Wash

Well, yesterday is was quite hot around the 70's. So we thought we would wash the car. Caden had a blast playing with the suds and dropping rocks in the bucket. And mommy had a good time spraying both the boys.

First Haircut

Well, today I did it. I finally talked Eric into letting me cutting Caden's hair. I figured since it won't be humid anymore and curl up it was time to let it go. I think today proved how perfect Caden and I fit, he sat there the whole time, just watching a movie, not moving a bit. It didn't even faze him when I squirted his hair wet. I think I enjoyed it the most, so here are some pictures of our handsome little man.

Cox Family Farm

Well, when Eric was gone Carrie, Cade and I took off to a pumpkin patch. It was intense to say the least. Tons of slides, Cider overflowing everywhere. Cade running like crazy. Carrie and him had a blast on the slides. And went on the craziest tractor ride ever. Overall it was a good time!

Yes, Drill Sergeant!

Well, Cade and I drove down to S. Caroline to see Eric graduate from Drill Sergeant School. It was a good drive. Caden was really excited to see Eric and warmed right up to him immediately. We went to his graduation and Caden wasn't really in the mood to sit or be quite or not kick the soldiers in the back of the row. So, needless to say we didn't get to hear a whole lot of the graduation but got some awesome pictures and saw him get his hat. Well, we left with Eric's papers on top of our car(don't worry the person in charge of the school got them and returned them to Eric-Awesome) And headed back to the hotel. Caden didn't especially love South Caroline and decided not to sleep there. So we checked out and headed home. And it's been great!

Georgia or Bust

Well, Mel and I headed to Georgia. Left our kids and said "see ya". Well, I'd love to say it was the funnest weekend of our lives. But, I don't think we can. We went we found a house, things didn't work out and now we will be renting a townhouse. But, we did make a quick stop in S. Carolina to see a certain someone;) But, we went shopping. Got lost a ton! And learned a second language. Wang dang doodle man!

Face Plant

So, yesterday as I was waiting to get our car jumped, Caden was playing in our driveway. And smack, Caden face planted mouth open and all. Well, I did my best to clean him off. He bled and cried but surprisingly lived through it. I think he'll have some sweet battle scars though.

Last blog of utah

Well, my camera battery died too early into my trip. So, I didn't get half the pics I wanted and I forgot to bring the charger. So, I won't get to show you the rest of my excellent times in utah. I went up to syracuse to spend a couple days with my sis em and her husband mick and there two kids. It was a great time getting to hang out with them, they are a wondeful bunch. I didn't get good pictures of all them cause my camera died at there house. But, overall Utah was a blast, I loved hanging with my parents, Mel and Jas, Jenn, and Bruce. And not to mention my wonderful grandma who I have not seen since I was 6 months preggers. She is a great woman, who I respect tremendously. Thanks for all those who put up with cade and I.

Jungle Jim's part 2

These are just more pics, I couln't narrow them down. I know I'm pathetic

Jungle Jim's

So there is this secret place for young kids called Jungle Jims. I couldn't tell you what city it was in but it's basically a mini amusement park for little kids. Well, Caden, Chase and Paige loved it. of course Chase and Paige are veteren's to this place and the rollar coaster didn't phase either of them like it did Caden. But, they all had a good time. Caden loved the Carousel. Very Exciting!

Park City Half Marathon

So, in preperation for our marathon in dc in october I decided to try out a half. Well, I did the park city half marathon. It was a beautifully scenic trail, a lot of gravel. Not my favorite. The first 6.5 miles were up-hill a little tough, slowed me down but I pushed through. Jenn was my super supporter and came with me. I appreciate her willingness to do so and it meant a ton to me. A fun race but I think next half will be a different course.

Utah- Mel's Birthday

Well, Caden and I have been traveling fools this summer, first IA(will post pictures later) and we have been in Utah this past month. And it has been a wonderful month. We both enjoyed very much seeing the family and Caden loved playing with Chase, paige, brady and cameron. Mel and I scrapbooked a ton. I did hair. Ran a half marathon, absess tooth, kidney stone and caught up with old friends. And Caden learned to talk a ton. So many ups and downs. Stay tuned for more.

4th of July

Well, we had our last 4th of July here in our Nation's Capital. We started our celebrations on July 3 at the lawn of the capitol we went to the dress rehersal and saw Tony Danza, Dierks Bently and that's about it. Then July 4th was busy, chaotic, but always so exciting. We got to sleep in then we went to the National 4th of July Parade. Which was an eventful parade, we got to see the out-spoken side of Carrie. Fun, fun! Then we went home chilled for a bit. Went to our neighbors for a BBQ. Then it stared to rain, no down pour on washington. They evacuated the mall-suckers! Then when the rain stopped and tornado warning was done. We went to Iwo Jima for fire works, Caden was a show stopper like normal. Caden was amazed by the Fireworks! And we headed home to bed. Great day but long!

Crazy Hair!

Caden has the craziest hair after a bath. So, we thought we would share with you.

Gettysburg!

Well, we decided to take a little adventure and head to Gettysburg, PA. It was a short 1 1/2 hr drive. We got there and it was a big open field with statues and canon's everywhere. Luckliy for Caden and my sake it wasn't too hot. So, we let Carrie and Eric do there history tourist thing and followed them around. After we saw all the goods of gettysburg we had a little picnic, which was nice. And headed home, on the way back we HAD to stop at the MA and PA stores which are faboulously delicous. And Eric had to get some illegal fire works. All in all nice day.
